Consists of records documenting curatorial activities within the Department of Paleobiology and, prior to 1963, the Department of Geology. Curators represented in these records include Richard S. Boardman, Kenneth McCarn Towe, Francis M. Hueber, Richard H. Benson, Sergius H. Mamay, William A. Oliver, Ian G. Macintyre, Michael K. Brett-Surman, and Alan H. Cheetham. Materials include correspondence and memoranda concerning supply and service requests, committee reports, training reports, personnel matters, program development, space problems, budget, staff publications, professional societies, manuscript reviews, exhibitions, scientific research, and collections management. Also included are notes; meeting agendas and minutes; proposals; agreements; information about conferences, committees, symposiums, and workshops; articles and newspaper clippings; book reviews; speech papers and presentation material; survey information; Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) photomicrographs and negatives; field notebooks and data; photographs, slides, and negatives; drawings; maps; brochures; and audiotapes.
