Summary

Consists of professional correspondence documenting the research and activities of the neuropteroid portion of the Division of Neuropteroids and Diptera. Most of the correspondence was created by Oliver S. Flint, Associate Curator and Curator, 1963-1991, and concerns the acquisition, loan, identification, and distribution of neuropteran specimens. A small amount of correspondence was written by Richard W. Baumann, Associate Curator, 1972-1975, and by Flint's predecessor, Grace E. Glance, Associate Curator, 1948-1957. The earliest correspondence dates back to 1938 and was created by Glance in her position as an entomologist researching neuropteriods in the United States Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine from 1925 to 1948.
