Summary

Consists of records documenting the development and administration of automated data management systems for the collections of the National Museum of Natural History under the direction of James F. Mello, 1970-1973; T. Gary Gautier, Acting Chief, Chief, Information Systems Manager in charge of the ADP Program, and Assistant Director for Automatic Data Processing, 1973-1998. Materials include budget files, memoranda, correspondence, collections inventory documentation, reports, subject and project files, planning materials, and other administrative materials. Also included are program codes and microfiche, slides, and audio recordings of various symposia.
