Comedian Mark Russell Comes to SI, 1984, Smithsonian Archives - History Div, 'Comedian Mark Russell was at the Smithsonian in September filming a special program -- 'Mark Russell Explores Washington, D.C.' -- for public television. (It was due to air in April 1985.) Russell was filmed behind the scenes in the National Museum of Natural History's Entomology Department and in the Arts and Industries Building. During filming with a statue of a camel positioned near a Gatling gun in the Centennial exhibition, Russell called the gun the "MX missile of the Rutherford Hayes administration.".
