Mrs. Lyndon (Lady Bird) Johnson visits the First Ladies Hall in the Arts and Industries Building with Secretary Leonard Carmichael, November 15, 1962. The visit is the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the collection of First Ladies Gowns and the addition of the Inaugural Ball gown of Mrs. John Fitzgerald (Jacqueline Bouvier) Kennedy. In the background from left to right are mannequins dressed in gowns of Mamie Eisenhower, Bess Truman, and a partially visible Eleanor Roosevelt. The mannequins have been placed in a setting designed as a room in the White House with a fireplace and a chandelier.
