Summary

Fisheries Exhibit in the northeast Range of the U.S. National Museum Building, with female attendant seated in the center. Fishing nets are hanging from the ceiling along with a Giant Squid and a Giant Octopus, model done by J. H. Emerton. Photographs of fishing activities line the walls. The wood floors in the building were replaced between 1895 and 1905.
