Summary

The Ethnology exhibits included Chinese gateways in the hall devoted to ethnology in the West Hall of the United States National Museum, now the Arts and Industries Building. These stately gateways stood at the entrance to the Chinese section of the Centennial Exhibition and were presented to the Museum by the Imperial Commissioners.
