October 28, 1944. The headquarters area of the United States National Museum storage facility in Luray, Virginia, near Shenandoah National Park. The back of photograph states: "Building in which N.M. collections are stored. View from S.E. showing loading platform." The museum collections were transferred to the storage facility for safekeeping during World War II.
