Dale Stewart, physical anthropologist, Department of Anthropology, United States National Museum (now the National Museum of Natural History), stands on a ladder examining a skull in the collection area. Photograph was probably taken on October 3, 1950 by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Stewart often examined skeletons for the FBI and pioneered in the field of forensic anthropology.
