Summary

"Locks from Iran: Pre-Islamic to the Twentieth Century," opens at the National Museum of Natural History. The exhibition contains over 400 examples of Persian metalwork that illustrate the creative combination of art and technology. Locks of all size, shapes, materials and mechanisms, including examples from the early Christian era, are displayed along with photographs and text. The exhibition is produced and circulated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
