Construction of the Small Mammal House, designed by Edwin Clark, the architect of the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, December 1, 1936. The house also housed the Great Apes when first completed. George Hyman Construction Company were the contractors. The photo is taken from southeast corner of building looking northwest.
