Display table filling center foreground holds miniatures. Six paintings are visible on back and right room walls, background. The USNM structure can be seen through the gallery roof. John Howard McFadden donated the collection of British Old Masters, 43 portraits and landscapes of the British School, to the Philadelphia Museum of Fine Arts, and the collection was displayed at the NCFA from 1923 to 1928, while that museum was being built.
