The Horticultural Services Division of the Office of Plant Services (OPlants) reorganizes and is transferred to the Office of Museum Programs as the Office of Horticulture (OH). Although the discipline of horticulture was added to SI in 1972, it was first recognized as an official museum program in 1976 rather than as a maintenance program.
