Summary

The life-sized model of a Blue Whale in the new "Life in the Sea" exhibit in Hall 16 has been mounted on the wall. At the end of the hall is an exhibit case with under the water scene. The exhibit opened in June 1963 in the National Museum of Natural History as part of the Exhibit Modernization Program. The hall is painted a dark blue to simulate underwater.
