Summary

Cloth sails are used on this large ship in a bottle as a demonstration of the various designs and uses of cloth. Designer Hans Hollein created the exhibit "Metamorphosis of a Piece of Cloth" as a part of "MAN TRANSFORMS", the opening exhibition of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in its new home at the Carnegie Mansion.
