A wintertime photograph shows the interior courtyard of the Old Patent Office Building, new home of the National Collection of Fine Art, now the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture which houses the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.

The building was dedicated as the National Collection of Fine Arts and the National Portrait Gallery building on May 3, 1967 by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
