Summary

Betsey Woods, Freer Gallery of Art assistant sales manager, as Whistler's Millie Finch at a holiday party, December 1984, after Whistler's 150th Birthday exhibition at the Freer. The watercolor, painted in the early 1880's, which she is emulating, was part of the exhibition "James McNeill Whistler at the Freer Gallery of Art," which ran from May 11 to December 1, 1984.
