Summary

A bill (HR 6125) is signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson authorizing the erection of the National Air and Space Building. This legislation officially expanded the name to the National Air and Space Museum, as well as expanding te membership of the Museum's Advisory Board to include all Federal and Defense agencies dealing with aerospace activities. This bill did not appropriate funds for the construction of the building.
