Summary

The 13-foot model of the American Revolution period tobacco ship "Brilliant" on display at National Museum of History and Technology, now the National Museum of American History. The model, made for the Smithsonian by Charles and N. Davis Newcomb of Trappe, Maryland, is one-tenth the size of the original and constructed of the same type of wood.
