Summary

The Division of Education and Training is established to coordinate fellowship appointments of researchers, students, and scholars who work in their field of interest with Smithsonian professional staff members. In July 1965, Charles Blitzer will be appointed director. In 1968, the Office will be renamed the Office of Academic Programs and later the Office of Fellowships and Grants.
