Summary

At her retirement party, Helena M. Weiss, on the right, is with Francine C. Berkowitz and Under Secretary James C. Bradley (1971-1972). She was one of the first women managers at the Smithsonian Institution (Chief, Division of Correspondence and Documents, 1948-1956; Registrar, Office of the Registrar, 1956-1971), and was involved in the acquisition of the Hope Diamond and the Wright Flyer.
