Summary

The Oceanography and Limnology Program begins in the Museum of Natural History. Its director, I. Eugene Wallen, will aid scientists in marine research, maintain liaison with ocean-going vessels and committees and councils concerned with oceanography, and develop and operate the Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center.
