North front of the U.S. National Museum nearing completion, now known as the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), on July 8, 1908. The exterior walls look almost finished, but there is no dome yet. Loaded wagons are in the front of the USNM at the Center Market, located on what is now Constitution Avenue.
