Summary

A second bedroom of the Henry apartments in the Smithsonian Institution Building, "Castle" was in the southwest corner of the East Wing. The first Secretary of the Smithsonian Joseph Henry (1846-1878) and his family lived in the Smithsonian Institution Building.
