Summary

From left to right, Harald A. Rehder, James Pendergrass, S. Stillman Berry, and Joseph Rosewater. Rehder was appointed to the United States National Museum, now the National Museum of Natural History, Division of Mollusks in 1932 as Senior Scientific Aid, Assistant Curator, 1934-1942; Associate Curator, 1942-1946; Curator, 1946-1965; and Senior Zoologist, 1965-1980. A noted malacologist, S. Stillman Berry donated his shell collection to the Smithsonian. Joseph Rosewater, was a curator of Invertebrate Zoology, National Museum of Natural History, and served as Acting Chairman of the Department of Invertebrate Zoology in1966.
