Summary

The Institute for Social Anthropology comes to an end, when the Department of State terminates support. Its functions are absorbed by the Institute of Inter-American Affairs. During its lifetime, the Institute published 16 monographs (the last number in 1953) in a series titled "Publications of the Institute of Social Anthropology."
