Installation of Railroad Car in NMHT

Summary

The Southern Railroad car arrives at the new Museum of History and Technology, now the National Museum of American History (NMAH), while the building is still under construction. Looking out through the unfinished Railroad Hall, the Southern Railroad car can be seen on tracks, which have been laid into the hall, with workmen standing by watching. The railroad car was too large to move into the building after it was completed and so was moved prior to completion of the exterior walls.
