As the duties assigned to the Assistant Secretary, Charles Coffin Jewett, acting as Librarian, now require his employment full-time, the Board of Regents resolves to award Jewett full compensation of one-half the Secretary's salary as stated in the resolution adopted on January 26, 1847.
