Summary

Rows of exhibit cases hold natural history exhibits in the South Hall of the United States National Museum, now the Arts and Industries Building, in circa 1890. In the first case on the right of the picture, stuffed seals have been assembled in a diorama in a glass exhibit case. The whale model can be seen suspended from the ceiling at the back of the hall.
