Alexander Wetmore's collecting outfit and horse and sulky ready to leave camp, 15 miles south of Cabo Antonio at Lavalle, Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 8, 1920. This photograph was taken by Alexander Wetmore, noted ornithologist and sixth Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, 1944-1952, while conducting field work for the United States Bureau of Biological Survey throughout the islands of the Caribbean and various Latin American countries.
