Don Pedro Upitz and Senora Upitz standing, at right, in front of the Hacienda Linda Vista in Riacho Pilaga, Argentina. There is a dog lying in front of the house. An unidentified man and woman are also seen here standing, at left, in front of the house. This photograph was taken by Alexander Wetmore, noted ornithologist and sixth Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, 1944-1952, while conducting field work for the United States Bureau of Biological Survey throughout the islands of the Caribbean and various Latin American countries.
