Photograph of two unidentified guards at a factory during a strike in Las Palmas, Argentina. One man is holding and leaning a rifle against his leg while the other has a gun belt around his waist with a gun in its holster. Behind them is a large open field with buildings in the distance. This photograph was taken by Alexander Wetmore, noted ornithologist and sixth Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, 1944-1952, while conducting field work for the United States Bureau of Biological Survey throughout the islands of the Caribbean and various Latin American countries.
