Summary

United States Congress appropriates $250,000 for a 300 square foot fireproof building to be built for the use of the United States National Museum. It is to be built on the southeastern portion of the grounds of the Smithsonian, under the direction and supervision of the Board of Regents. The structure, in high Victorian style, is designed by Washington architects Cluss and Schulze and will be built of red brick and Ohio sandstone.
