- A canopy bridge in the Bayano River Basin in Panama named the Alexander Wetmore Bridge in honor of ornithologist and sixth Secretary of the Smithsonian Alexander Wetmore. The photograph shows span of the bridge through the trees. There are two unidentified men in the photo standing on the bridge. This bridge is used to trap and band birds in the high canopy of the trees.
- The Bayano River also known as the upper part of the Chepo River and was damned in the 1970s to create Lago Bayano.
