Annual Funding for Government Collections

PrintIn addition to the annual congressional appropriation of $4,000, for preservation of government collections from exploring and surveying expeditions, the United States Congress authorizes an additional $6,000 to aid in distribution of collections, and for construction of additional cases for collections retained by the government.
