Summary

The Board of Regents resolves to ask United States Congress to provide for the erection of a suitable building at the Smithsonian for the additional museum collections resulting from donations of exhibits from the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876. The $250,000 request to Congress is presented on February 6, in a memorial dated February 5, written by the Board of Regents.
