First model for the South Quadrangle project, designed by Junzo Yoshimura. View of model looking north shows Smithsonian Building, Arts and Industries Building, and Freer Gallery framing the two new underground museums. In the proposal each has a sunken court and the Victorian Garden from the Bicentennial remains as a centerpiece.
