Summary

Title XL of this Act sets forth the National Historic Preservation Act Amendments. These amendments include: review of threats to properties; state historic preservation programs; certification of local governments; tribal historic preservation programs; matching grants; education and training; requirements for awarding of grants; apportionment of grant funds; extension of authorization for historic preservation fund; Federal agency historic preservation programs; lease or exchange of Federal housing properties; professional standards; interstate and international traffic in antiquities; membership of advisory council on historic preservation; authorization of appropriations for advisory council on historic preservation; advisory council regulations; definitions; access to information; recommendations; national center for preservation technology and training; and requirement for specific authorization for projects under the Historic Sites, Buildings, and Antiquities Act.
