Summary

Section 8 of the American Folklife Preservation Act (20 U.S.C. 2107) is amended by striking out "and" immediately after "1977," and inserting immediately before the period at the end thereof the following: $685,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1979, $1,065,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980, and $1,355,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981". Section 4 ♭ of such Act (20 U.S.C.2103 ♭ is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: "Members appointed by the President under clause (1) of subsection (b) shall serve only during the time they are officials of Federal departments and agencies concerned with some aspect of American folklife traditions and arts."
