Summary

In the governmental reorganization of the District of Columbia, Part B of the District Charter sets forth the regulations concerning the Mayor's election, qualifications, vacancy, compensation, powers and duties and municipal planning. The District of Columbia Council, the offices of Chairman of the District of Columbia Council, Vice Chairman of the District of Columbia Council, and the seven other members of the District of Columbia Council, and the offices of the Commissioner of the District of Columbia and Assistant to the Commissioner of the District of Columbia, as established by Reorganization Plan Numbered 3 of 1967, 81 Stat. 948 (1967), are abolished.
