Summary

Amendments to the John F. Kennedy Center Act, as amended (72 Stat. 1969) include: "The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the National Park Service, shall provide maintenance, security, information, interpretation, janitorial and all other services necessary to the nonperforming arts functions of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts." The sum of $1,500,000 is authorized to be appropriated for the public costs of maintaining and operating the nonperforming arts functions of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
