Summary

The Act contains amendments relating to definition of humanities; distribution of works of art and work in residence by artists; consolidation of laws relating to the National Council on the Arts; allotments of funds to States; the National Endowment for the Humanities; inclusion of the Archivist of the United States as a member of the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities; and authorizations of appropriations.
