Summary

There is established in the Smithsonian Institution a Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and a Board of Trustees of the Center. The Board of Trustees shall be composed of fifteen members and shall include the Secretary of State; the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare; the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities; the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution; the Librarian of Congress; the Archivist of the United States; one appointed by the President from time to time from within the Federal Government; and eight appointed by the President from private life. Provisions are set forth concerning terms of office, powers and duties of the Board, and administration. Funds are authorized to be appropriated to the Board to carry out the purposes of this Act. No more than $200,000 shall be authorized for appropriation through fiscal year 1970 and no part of that appropriation shall be available for construction purposes.
