An Act Making appropriations for the government of the District of Columbia and other activities chargeable in whole or in part against the revenues of said District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1958, and for other purposes.

Summary

The sum of $784,000 is appropriated for the expenses of the National Zoological Park including: erecting and repairing buildings; care and improvement of grounds; travel, including travel for the procurement of live specimens; purchase, care, and transportation of specimens; purchase of motorcycles; revolvers and ammunition; purchase of uniforms and equipment for police, and uniforms for keepers. The amounts so advanced will be available for the objects herein specified, any unexpended balance to be returned to this appropriation not later than two full fiscal years after the close of the current fiscal year.
