PrintThe sum of $720,000 is appropriated for the National Zoological Park including: erecting and repairing buildings; care and improvement of grounds; travel; purchase, care, and transportation of specimens; purchase of motorcycles and passenger motor vehicles; revolvers and ammunition; purchase of uniforms and equipment for police, and uniforms for keepers. The funds appropriated under this head shall be advanced to the National Zoological Park and shall be credited as a repayment and maintained in a special account. The amounts so advanced will be available for the objects herein specified, any unexpended balance to be returned to this appropriation not later than two full fiscal years after the close of the current fiscal year.
