The sum of $2,288,000 is appropriated for expenses of construction of a building for the Museum of History and Technology. The following appropriations and funds available to the departments and agencies, for the fiscal year 1956, shall be available for uniforms or allowances therefor: Smithsonian Institution: "Salaries and expenses, National Gallery of Art."
