PrintThe sum of $645,000 is appropriated for expenses of the National Zoological Park including: erecting and repairing buildings; care and improvement of grounds; travel, including travel for the procurement of live specimens; purchase and transportation of specimens; purchase of motorcycles and passenger motor vehicles; revolvers and ammunition; purchase of uniforms and equipment for police, and uniforms for keepers. Any unexpended balance is to be returned to this appropriation not later than two fiscal years after the close of the current fiscal year. The sum of $966,000, capital outlay, is appropriated for miscellaneous improvements including the construction of a public restroom building at the National Zoological Park, with office and storage space for police and maintenance forces.
