An Act Making appropriations for the government of the District of Columbia and other activities chargeable in whole or in part against the revenues of said District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1954, and for other purposes

Summary

The sum of $625,000 is appropriated for expenses necessary for the National Zoological Park including; erecting and repairing buildings; care and improvement of grounds; travel; purchase, care, and transportation of specimens; purchase of motorcycles and passenger motor vehicles; revolvers and ammunition; and purchase of uniforms and equipment for police and uniforms for keepers. A capital outlay of $35,000 is provided for the installation of a stem line from the central heating plant to the birdhouse.
