Summary

The sum of $307,630.50 is appropriated for the payment, by the National Gallery of Art to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, of taxes, levied as a result of the gift to the National Gallery of Art of a collection of works of art, made by the late Joseph E. Widener. The following sums are appropriated: $50,000 for salaries and expenses at the Smithsonian Institution; $82,000 for salaries and expenses at the National Gallery of Art; and $7,000 for the National Zoological Park.
