PrintThe sum of $261,510 is appropriated for the National Zoological Park for: roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage, drainage; improving the grounds; erecting and repairing buildings; care and transportation of animals; necessary employees; traveling expenses; procurement of live specimens; maintenance and operation of one motor-propelled passenger carrying vehicle; purchase, maintenance, and repair of bicycles and non-passenger carrying motor vehicles; revolvers and ammunition; purchasing and supplying uniforms to Park Police, and keepers; and purchase of books and periodicals. No part of this sum shall be available for architect's fees.
